After a thrilling season Formula One is ready to kick things off on 16th of March in Australia’s legendary Albert Park. The field is closer than ever and as expected players’ interest for the best betting odds on Formula 1 this season is high.
Who will manage to win the chip this year? Is Red Bull’s car good enough for Max Verstappen to defend his crown or will the improved McLaren grant Lando Norris his maiden championship? Let’s waste no time and see what the bookies have prepared for us.
What Are The Odds For the Championship?
The Brit brought the challenge to Max Verstappen last year but his efforts were not enough to outscore the ‘Flying Dutchman’. For the 2025 F1 season bookmakers expect less competition for Norris with the odds of Lando marking his name in the champions’ book being at 2.49.
No surprise here, the next favorites are Max Verstappen (@4.55) and Charles Leclerc (@5.15), while Lewis Hamilton’s odds of getting his record-breaking 8th drivers championship with Ferrari are at 8.30. There are more betting opportunities we can examine though.
In the Constructors battle all eyes are on McLaren and Ferrari. The ‘Papaya’ team pays 1.98 to grab a repeated trophy, while Ferrari is at 2.40. Red Bull (@6.80) and Mercedes (@15.0) are left out of the picture by sportsbooks, hence the gap in odds. In general, we have noticed a more conservative approach to this season by most betting sites, which is testament to the high competition expected.
The 2025 season will also have 6 rookies Isack Hadjar, Jack Doohan, Gabriel Bortoleto, Kimi Antonelli and the standouts Oliver Bearman and Liam Lawson doing their first full seasons. As expected their chances are slim but you can find some lucrative head to head payouts against their teammates.
For example, the odds for Oliver Bearman to come out on top against Haas’ first driver, Esteban Ocon are at 2.41. Another interesting battle is this one between Lawson and Antonelli. Their H2H is at 1.85 despite Liam’s previous F1 experience. If you are on board the Kimi hype train, though, you can grab the 4.9 odds of him beating George Russell in the championship.
Williams fans have high hopes for this season after Sainz topped the standings in Bahrain testing. If he manages to bring his new team to the top step of the podium you can get a nice payout of 4.33, compared to Albon (@6.00). So what are your predictions for this season? Are we up for another banger of a season before the big regulation changes? Who’s gonna take the crown? Let’s wait and see.
