And that is because the latter will soon have some legal betting options on their hands since the state’s gambling regulators gave the green light to draft new betting rules.

Will Online Bookies be Included in the Draft?

The New York State Gaming Commission approved the regulations regarding draft betting, and those will give the opportunity to four upstate casinos to include retail sportsbooks in their offerings. The regulations are subject to a 60-day public comment period, and the launch will take place in the first days of April. All these four upstate casinos have already concluded their own betting partnerships, but it should be noted that the new regulations will not give permission to those operators to offer online or mobile betting.

After all, there are no mentions regarding digital betting on those regulations, and it seems new legislation would be needed for those. It is also noteworthy that the four casinos will offer automated betting kiosks, but only inside their betting lounges.
