Government Review of FOBTs to Define GVC Move on Ladbrokes Coral

GVC Ladbrokes Coral GVC Holdings has already had two failed attempts of acquiring Ladbrokes Coral, most recently last August when the betting giant offered a reported £3.6 billion.

According to insiders, the next GVC movement will be defined in October after the British government’s review about FOBTs.

Two Outcomes are Likely

Ladbrokes Coral Plc are really a FOBTs giant. If the government decides to reduce the maximum stake from £100 to £2, as they initially intended to do, it is almost certain that GVC Holdings will not be interested in making a new offer to Ladbrokes Coral.

Controversially, if the reduction is insignificant and the minimum stake remains high, it is almost sure that GVC will make a final effort to redeem the famous British bookmaker.

It is now obvious that everything depends on what the government decides to do with FOBTs.
