GVC back to FTSE 100, 888 Holdings enters FTSE 250

gvc-888GVC Holdings PLC, the owner of Bwin, has been readmitted to the FTSE 100 and 888 Holdings PLC, the owner of 888sport, has entered into the FTSE 250 Index. Both companies have been added to their respective indexes as a consequence of the June 2020 quarterly review of FTSE Russell.

What is Fueling GVC and 888 Index?

The quarterly review of the global index of the companies is taking place in order to portray with detail the market in which they belong. GVC proudly announced its re-inclusion in the FTSE 100 Index and characterized it as a key moment in its history. It is worth noting that the company was admitted to AIM in 2004 and acquired Ladbrokes Coral on March 29, 2018.

It is also worth mentioning that by the time that 888 Holdings was added to the FTSE 250 Index, GVC was among those that exited the index. As regards Q1 2020, GVC saw its gaming revenue grow 1% YOY, while its online gaming revenue increased 19%.

As far as 2019 is concerned, 888 Holdings saw its revenue grow 6% YOY to what constitutes a group record of $560.3m. More specifically, the company’s B2C casino revenue rose 13% to $359.3m, and its B2C sports revenue increased 12% to $90m.

BOOK SPY BONUS REVIEW

No introduction is needed for Bwin. They were the first betting giants, being founded in 1999 when they came to the spotlight as Bet And Win. Since 2016, they have been under new ownership - Entain Plc - and have a clear white market strategy, acquiring domestic licenses in New Jersey, Sweden, Italy, Greece, France, and Spain. Bwin is regarded as a top-class bookmaker, but there are some massive pros and cons. The website is a little bit outdated, and the odds should be higher, especially in the top leagues. The absence of Asian bets and the slow withdrawal times are also a great minus. The same applies to the fast limitation on winning accounts, no matter if we are talking about a sharp or a recreational player. On the other hand, the live betting section comes with so many extra features, like Multiview and live streaming. The range of extra bets, both at the pre-match and live betting, sports and payment methods is huge, and the mobile apps are magnificent. No matter the disadvantages, Bwin will always be a safe place and a classic destination for the bettors.
