Betsson AB Acquired Netplay TV for £26 Million

Many Assets to Fall Under Betsson's Management

This deal was anticipated since the 2nd of February, when the talks between the two sides begun, but everything came to a happy closure for both sides. The company’s governance informed the shareholders that its offer had passed all conditions of the UK High Court of Justice, allowing for the firm to complete its transaction and the acquirement of the British gambling operator, will see Betsson AB taking control of NetPlay assets, adding Jackpot247, Supercasino and Vernons to its European gaming multi-brand portfolio. Of course, we expect to see lots of changes on Netplay’s structure, operations and management within the next few months.

Ulrik Bengtsson, who is the CEO and President of Betsson AB commented on the completed deal: «With the addition of NetPlay and the continued organic growth, UK is on its way to become one of Betsson’s most important markets. Also, this acquisition is a good example of our strategy to acquire subscale operators where integration with Betsson’s systems and processes can realise synergies».
