Who Are the First Movers Out?

One of them is 32Red, which as of the 3rd of April will not accept any new registrations from any Australian punters. 32Red has decided to withdraw its services from the country, following the examples of William Hill, Vera&John and 888 Holdings.

The Gibraltar-based company offers a range of interactive betting sites including a poker room, an online casino and a sportsbook and this is a major blow for them having to leave a profitable market. If the bill does passes, Pokerstars will be the next operator to leave Australia, since it prohibits all internet gambling activities from unauthorised or unlicensed operators under Australia's new national codes, online poker included. On the other hand, sports betting will still be authorised after the new legislation passes.
