The Ukrainian founded bookmaker Parimatch has announced that it will limit joint marketing and ad campaigns with FC Chelsea to focus on sending more humanitarian efforts to Ukraine. Several rumours circulated about terminating the partnership with the London club due to sanctions imposed on the Russian owner Roman Abramovich. However, the online gaming operator will stay as a sponsor but with a restricted scope.
In a Parimatch statement, we read: "After considering the situation, we have decided to pause all joint marketing and brand campaigns with the club featuring the Parimatch logo and brand. All of our current activity in the public domain is aimed at raising awareness about the war. And we intend to use the resources at hand, including the club's LED display systems, to promote our volunteering and donation activities."
Parimatch has been one of the most active bookmakers in assisting Ukraine in every way possible. Despite the headquarters being moved to Cyprus, both the CEOs are Ukrainians; hence they have planned to donate UAH 60 ($2m) to help civilians and non-combatants. A total of UAH 42m ($1.4m) has already been given for ammunition, medicines and logistics. Moreover, Parimatch withdrew from the Russian market in late February to protest against the ongoing invasion.

Parimatch has been a huge brand for the CIS since forever, but their most important improvement is that they keep enhancing their international presence. Apart from the local licenses in Cyprus, Russia and some minor Eastern European countries, they also actively target Tanzania & India. Additionally, they are about to turn their attention to more African territories, Pakistan and Brazil. By having Dale Willem Steyn as their ambassador they have gained points in awareness. I consider PM as a much more honest bookmaker than the majority of the CIS books. Moreover is a top choice for cricket or UFC betting and the lines are super competitive. On the other hand, the Air Parimatch site is complicated to me, while they haven’t improved the slow live betting acceptance. Overall, they are a decent sportsbook, promising to make worth your while.
