Betsson Group’s expansion continues

Betsson Group AB is one of the most active and upcoming companies and they never stop to chase new opportunities and the tries to make the group even bigger. And they move on to their plan, by confirming the acquisition of London AIM-listed interactive gaming operator NetPlay TV. The target is to expand into the United Kingdom market and that is the way they will do it. Just a few days ago the Betsson Group announced the acquirement of NetPlay TV for a total consideration of £26.4 million. As the British media commented, the main shareholder of the «Directforce Trading», which holds 27% equity in the company, has accepted Betsson’s offer.

Ulrik Bengtsson, who is the CEO of Betsson Group stated that his firm was acquiring three established UK betting brands (Jackpot24/7, SuperCasino and Vernons), showing that the plan was working perfect. «Betsson’s experience of operating successful casino brands will add to NetPlay’s earnings and growth. We have a long-term view on NetPlay and will achieve significant cost synergies and operational improvements over time. Part of Betsson’s acquisition strategy is to add volume to its scalable Techsson platform and to increase the share of regulated revenue,” Bengtsson commented.».
