Betsson to sponsor Brazil’s Campeonato Pernambucano

The Swedish operator, Betsson, has announced a partnership with Brazil’s Campeonato Pernambucano for the tournament’s 108th edition. The bookmaker will try to boost its LATAM profile and this new deal is a part of this strategy.

“The finals of the Pernambucano 2021 attracted a record audience. According to TV Globo’s data, we surpassed the finals of the Paulista and Carioca Championships. We are very happy with Betsson’s support, which allows us to invest even more in football in Pernambuco, and pay for all the officials of the championship, such as the referees, assistant referees and video assistant referees (VAR) in the final stages. Betsson is a market leader that is betting on the credibility that the Federation has earned over the years.” said Evandro Carvalho, President of the Pernambuco Soccer Federation (FPF).

Following our good experience in the region by supporting Íbis Sport Club, we truly believe in the potential of this championship to further expose our brand and engage with fans.”

Betsson has a constant presence in Brazil since 2019 and within 2021 it became the official sponsor of football team Íbis Sport Club. As a part of this new deal Betsson will run marketing and PR activities throughout the championship’s latest season. The new campaign will be called “Pernambucano Betsson 2022” and starts on January 22.
