Boylesports, as a classic Irish bookmaker, is known for the great range of horse racing bets, while they act as a sponsor at the races that the channel RTE broadcasts. This sponsorship will continue as it seems, since Boylesports signed the extension of RTÉ Sport’s horse racing coverage for a further year.
Race Coverage of Irish Competitions
The national broadcaster RTE presents horse races 24 days per month and in fact some of them are extremely popular, like the Irish Grand National, Irish Champion Stakes and The Irish derby, as well as festival coverage of Punchestown and Galway.
The CEO and Boylesports’ founder, John Boyle, was more than pleased was more than pleased to extend the sponsorship and he commented on the matter: « We are very committed to Irish sport and this partnership with RTE cements BoyleSports position as the biggest supporter of Irish racing. We are also proud to sponsor the jewel in the crown of the Irish National Hunt season, the BoyleSports Irish Grand National.».
On the other hand, the Commercial Director of RTÉ television, mr Geraldine O’Leary, stated: « Irish racing remains on terrestrial free-to-air television and BoyleSports has secured a powerful association with Irish Racing across all of RTÉ’s market-leading platforms».
