The English football club Queens Park Rangers (QPR) made a new agreement for sponsorship with Gamstop. From now on, QPR will dedicate matchday and programme advertising space to the popular gambling self-exclusion scheme.
QPR Campaign Focusing on Self-Exclusion
Euan Inglis, QPR’s Commercial Director, mentioned: “We are delighted to enter into a partnership with Gamstop — the free, UK-wide self-exclusion scheme that enables gamblers to put blocks in place to restrict their online gambling activities. We are very mindful of getting the message across about responsible gambling.”
Furthermore, Fiona Palmer, Chief Executive of Gamstop, said about the partnership: “QPR have been incredibly proactive in launching this partnership with Gamstop, and we are delighted that the club will be using its extensive platform to raise awareness of the tools that are available to those who may be experiencing gambling-related harm.”
Moreover, as part of this new deal, Club and ‘QPR in the Community’ staff will be trained on the Gamstop platform. The target of this cooperation is to help bettors who wish to self-exclude themselves from online gambling. By this time, more than 240,000 players from across the UK are registered with Gamstop.
