UEFA and Bwin confirmed their partnership and the Entain-owned bookmaker became the official partner of UEFA’s Europa League and Europa Conference League football competitions. This new three-year deal includes brand visibility across the lower-tier European soccer competitions through broadcast and digital channels.
Furthermore, the partnership includes extensive perimeter advertising boards inside the stadiums, as well as on the websites and social media of these two UEFA competitions. An important part of the deal is Bwin’s commitment to support UEFA’s struggle against match-fixing, in order to preserve the integrity of the sport.
UEFA’s marketing director, Guy-Laurent Epstein, said that: “The partnership with Bwin allows UEFA to engage more openly with the sports betting sector, giving greater access to market intelligence and support from both a sports integrity and commercial perspective.”
Stephan Heilmann, Entain’s managing director for digital in Europe, stated: “The partnership will provide an array of exciting opportunities to enhance our offer to our customers, creating unique new experiences and content. It also provides Bwin with a formidable platform to reach fans in regulated sports betting markets around the world, highlighting our unparalleled combination of the best product and the most responsible environment in which to bet. ”
The partnership emphasizes the commitment of Bwin and that of its parent company, Entain plc, to support football as a sport, in conjunction with responsible gambling, all around the world. On top of this new cooperation, Bwin will also launch a new dedicated website - betresponsibly.info in order to inform and help players keep their gambling in control.

No introduction is needed for Bwin. They were the first betting giants, being founded in 1999 when they came to the spotlight as Bet And Win. Since 2016, they have been under new ownership - Entain Plc - and have a clear white market strategy, acquiring domestic licenses in New Jersey, Sweden, Italy, Greece, France, and Spain. Bwin is regarded as a top-class bookmaker, but there are some massive pros and cons. The website is a little bit outdated, and the odds should be higher, especially at the top leagues. The absence of Asian bets and the slow withdrawal times are also a great minus. The same applies to the fast limitation on winning accounts, no matter if we are talking about a sharp or a recreational player. On the other hand, the live betting section comes with so many extra features, like Multiview and live streaming. The range of extra bets, both at the pre-match and live betting, sports and payment methods is huge and the mobile apps magnificent. No matter the disadvantages, Bwin will always be a safe place and a classic destination for the bettors.
