The renowned crypto sports betting platform Stake.com marks Watford’s return to the Premier League by signing a new multi-year sponsorship.
The bookmaker will become the team’s main shirt sponsor from the start of the 2021/22 season, which begins on the 14th of August. Watford FC will be paid in cryptocurrency, but the value of the sponsorship remains unknown since both sides decided that the terms of the deal should not be disclosed to the press.
Stake Wants More Reach in the UK
This is another deal that marks Stake’s effort to expand its sports sponsorship portfolio. Earlier this year, the company became the official betting partner for UFC in Latin America and Asia. Stake.com aims to receive brand awareness from the partnership in the U.K. as the company prepares to launch Stake.co.uk.
The bookmaker also plans to run a number of cryptocurrency-themed incentives, including a giveaway of 10 million Dogecoin, along with other promotions on its international platform
Mladen Vuckovic, Stake.co.uk CEO, stated: “The past few years have seen consistent growth for Stake.com, and this partnership with Watford marks the next chapter for our company. We could not be more thrilled to partner with a club that has such immense history yet still a true innovative spirit. We’re committed to becoming a key part of the Watford family and have a number of exciting initiatives planned for fans over the coming months!”
Watford FC chairman and CEO Scott Duxbury also commented on the deal: “This will be an extremely exciting campaign for the club as we return to the Premier League, and we couldn’t be happier to join with a partner who matches our ambitious outlook and commitment to innovation in order to achieve success.”

Stake.com is a name that undoubtedly comes to mind in discussions about crypto gambling. The brand originates from the people behind Primedice, one of the first pure crypto gambling sites. I really appreciate their in-house sportsbook, as it offers a wide variety of sports events and quite competitive odds on several markets. It is a welcome change of pace from the hundreds of white-label bookies. Furthermore, crypto-only payments work smoothly and are a huge plus for players who prefer betting under the radar. Just remember to monitor the current crypto market trends, as you are not protected against the infamous crypto volatility. Nonetheless, I would like to see some upgrades in certain areas. Features like Bet-Builder and Partial/Auto Cash Out are a must nowadays. Also, a few more sports promotions would be a good addition. In any case, Stake is on a good path, and I believe that every bettor familiar with cryptocurrencies should try them out.
