The well-known bookmaker Betsson has struck a deal with the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) to become the official regional sponsor of Copa América 2021. The competition is set to take place in Brazil from 13 June to 10 July.
Betsson will benefit from this deal in many ways. From branding rights, perimeter board signage and video boards in the stadium to banners on the competition’s official website and mobile app.
Exclusive Betsson Offerings for LATAM
The renowned sportsbook will also exclusively sponsor the ‘Match Line Up’ for all 28 matches and the ‘Player of the Week’ polls on Copa America’s official social media channels.
Jesper Svensson, chief executive of Betsson’s operations, commented: “This is a fantastic opportunity to raise Betsson’s brand awareness to a new level in the markets we’re operating in. We know that Copa America is a huge event and is very popular in Latin American countries and beyond.”
CONMEBOL commercial director Juan Emilio Roa stated: “We see this partnership as a milestone in CONMEBOL Copa America history. It connects football lovers through the sports passion and cheerful experiences with their national teams’ performance in the world’s most traditional national teams competition.”
This agreement is another step for Betsson to expand its presence in Latin America. Just in April, the bookmaker purchased a 50% stake in JDP Tech, a software development business that owns a proprietary technology platform for handling payments in Latin America.

Betsson is one of the industry leaders in Scandinavia. The brand keeps walking down the road of legitimacy and legality. After all, the Betsson Group is listed on the stock exchange, and transparency is always the target. The in-house platform is quick and easy to use, both on mobile and desktop and product-wise, there are only a few black marks. Odds on secondary leagues are short; the brand tends to cut winners fast, while the stake limits on the events are mainly low. On the other hand, I like the odds on the top leagues, which can challenge those of Bet365 and are better than Bwin’s. Live streaming and the whole live betting section are state-of-the-art, while the quick withdrawals give an extra boost to the recreational bettors looking for a safe and legit bookie.
