Strategic move by Playtech

Playtech knows very well that there is a number of new regulated markets across Europe that may be bring large profits and one of them is Finland. Knowing that, the leading software provider managed to get a deal with the merged entity formed of Veikkaus, RAY and Fintoto. Their agreement will guarantee growth in the Finnish market, since there will be an opening in the markets of slots, casino games and more, all provided by Playtech’s platform. The agreement between the two sides, was extended for 20 more years.

Shimon Akad, Playtech's COO, commented: "Today's agreement marks a significant milestone in extending not only our presence in Finland, but also extending our strong relationship with Veikkaus and its key stakeholders. We're delighted they have selected Playtech to strengthen our long-standing and successful partnership in supporting the growth of the Finnish market. Our work with RAY in the last six years has shown that we are committed to the market and its growth and look forward to a new era with the country's newly formed gaming entity.".
