Swedish online gambling operator Betsson initiates an expansion in Mexico which will be facilitated in partnership with Big Bola casinos.
This will launch the new Betsson Mexico brand, offering casino, live casino, and sports betting before the end of this year.
Jesper Svensson, the CEO of Betsson, stated that this business deployment is a big proof of Betsson’s devotion to the developing Latin American market.
Great Expectations for Betsson and Big Bola Deal
He also said: ‘’This is yet another expansion into the LatAm region which we see so much potential in. As we have done in Brazil, Colombia, and the Province of Buenos Aires in Argentina, we are teaming up with a local partner who lives and breathes the local culture. We are really excited to start this collaboration with Big Bola as we believe they are well suited to help us understand the market better and ensure that our offering not only fits the Mexican culture but also earns the public’s trust.’’
Big Bola, a Mexican land-based operator, owns 20 casinos across the country under a SEGOB (Secretaría de Gobernación) license. Emilio Quiros, the director of operations, said that Betsson’s market knowledge will help to deliver a product that will entirely fit the Mexican betting needs.
He added: “We are happy that Betsson Group has chosen to partner with us for their operations in Mexico. We believe that our market expertise and their knowledge and experience about online gaming will result in an outstanding product for Mexico.”

Betsson is one of the industry leaders in Scandinavia. The brand keeps walking down the road of legitimacy and legality after all, the Betsson Group is listed on the stock exchange, and transparency is always the target. The in-house platform is quick and easy to use, both on mobile and desktop and product-wise, there are only a few black marks. Odds on secondary leagues are short; the brand tends to cut winners fast, while the stake limits on the events are mainly low. On the other hand, I like the odds on the top leagues, which can challenge those of Bet365 and are better than Bwin’s. Live streaming and the whole live betting section are state-of-the-art, while the quick withdrawals give an extra boost to the recreational bettors looking for a safe and legit bookie.
