The renowned bookmaker Parimatch has been approved to acquire a license from the Ukrainian gambling regulator, the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (KRAIL).
Parimatch needs to pay the license fee within 10 working days and fulfil a few more requirements, before the licensing deal is officially completed. It was reported that the fee would cost €1.2m, and the license would have to get renewed every five years.
Moreover, it is worth noting that the Ukrainian gaming authorities prohibit any bookmaker with Russian owners, directors or executives from operating in their market. Parimatch though claims to have no issue with that particular requirement.
Parimatch is a sportsbook which was founded in Ukraine in 1994. Its headquarters are located in Cyprus. It also holds local licenses in Belarus, Cyprus, Kazakhstan and Russia. For years it has expressed its interest to operate in the Ukrainian market. It was denied on its first attempt to acquire a license, but it has finally been added to the list of bookies that can rightfully operate in Ukraine.
The Chief Communications Officer at Parimatch, Daria Isakova, stated: “Parimatch welcomes the decision of the commission to issue a license”.

Parimatch has been a huge brand for the CIS since forever, but their most important improvement is that they keep enhancing their international presence. Apart from the local licenses in Cyprus, Russia and some minor Eastern European countries, they also actively target Tanzania & India. Additionally, they are about to turn their attention to more African territories, Pakistan and Brazil. By having Dale Willem Steyn as their ambassador they have gained points in awareness. I consider PM as a much more honest bookmaker than the majority of the CIS books. Moreover is a top choice for cricket or UFC betting and the lines are super competitive. On the other hand, the Air Parimatch site is complicated to me, while they haven’t improved the slow live betting acceptance. Overall, they are a decent sportsbook, promising to make worth your while.
