GVC Holdings PLC has embarked on a new sustainable growth strategy that includes the rebranding of the company as Entain and the decision to pull out of all unregulated gambling markets by the end of 2023.
GVC owns among others the renowned bookmaker Bwin and its CEO, Shay Segev, stated regarding its new strategy that: “Under our new corporate identity, we will continue to use our unique technology platform to build on the exceptionally strong momentum that we have in our existing markets, grow into new markets, reach new audiences, enhance the user experience, and provide industry-leading levels of player protection”.
Segev underlined in a recent interview that his company’s focus will be on launching the brand in 50-60 regulated markets around the globe, including Mexico, Africa and central Europe.
The business will take further steps to ramp up its focus on player safety and protection, with the launch of the new Advanced Responsibility & Care (ARC) programme.
Another cornerstone of the plan is to boost esports and digital gaming overall, having set as a goal to strengthen its position in the US market as well.
