PSG appoints 22Bet as their African betting partner

22 Sep 2020

22 africaOnline sports betting operator 22Bet has reached an agreement with French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain. The two-year deal, ending 2022, will see 22Bet serving as the club’s first-ever official betting partner in Africa.

The company will -through this agreement- be able to advertise on LED boards within PSG’s stadium Parc des Princes. It will also have the opportunity to host a series of private events and competitions within the premises, giving out special prizes and tickets to its members and the club’s fans. Moreover, it will have access to VIP seats for all football matches.

Olatunji Idowu, 22Bet Africa’s director, commented: “We are thrilled to announce our partnership with one of the most premium and sought-after sports brands in the world, which combines on-pitch success with innovation off the pitch. The fast-growing presence of the club worldwide will help us further promote our brand in the African region.”.

PSG’s sponsorships director, Marc Armstrong, said from his side: “We are confident that 22BET will be an ideal partner for the club and that together we will be able to interact even more with our fan base in Africa, which is growing at great speed.” .

22Bet will subsequently increase its exposure to the vast African market, through the use of digital and virtual advertising technology, landing a deal of great importance.

22bet was founded in the first stages of 2017 and although they are slightly new, they have shown massive improvement. The Group has invested in localization and has acquired many local licenses which show signs of building credibility. The BetB2B platform is known to the players who have placed bets with 1xBet, but it still offers a complicated site. I like the brand’s standard offering of 95% payout on the W-D-W and Totals markets, which is great for those loving to bet on secondary sports like basketball, tennis or even football leagues like the Scottish Premiership. In overall 22Bet ranking for odds is somewhere between 1XBet and Bwin. The mobile apps are a vast plus and the same goes to the live betting section, thanks to the streaming service and the 95% payout. On the cons, despite the 100+ available methods, some popular ones like Trustly and Sofort are absent, while the Asian market's odds are lower from most of the competition. Nonetheless, 22Bet is regarded as one of the Top 5 grey bookies and for sure they are a keeper.
