STS completes takeover of betting tech provider BetSys

STS, the biggest Polish bookmaker, has taken its development one step further by taking over BetSys, the software provider that was already its main IT partner. BetSys on the other hand, is a multimillion Euro company, providing services to bookmakers as well as to the Czech Republic's largest lottery operator, Sazka. STSBet has been expanding its services to Europe after dominating the Polish market, operating in the UK, Germany, Gibraltar, Malta, and Latvia, among others.

What Added Value will BetSys bring STS

STS's CEO, Mateusz Juroszek, said: “We have finalized a takeover of BetSys, in which STS already holds the majority of shares. It is a significant investment which secures our further development. The proprietary bookmaking system and the possibility of its in-house development constitute a key advantage in our industry. We have already been generating more than 85% of revenues via online channels, so further growth in IT solutions is of strategic value to us. Only the best European bookmaking companies can boast of their own technology and platform. This is another area that clearly distinguishes us from other operators both in Poland and in Europe.”

STSBet has been increasing its revenues over the past few years while also actively supporting Polish sports, already being the official sponsor of the Polish national football team and the main sponsor of Jagiellonia Białystok and Lech Poznan, to name a couple.

STS is the most successful operator in Poland, with more than half the market share. It was established back in 1997 and today maintains 440+ betting shops. Since 2019, after the launch of the international sites, it has been steadily expanding in more regulated markets. I enjoyed the odds on the major football leagues and the wide range of live events available each month. The TGlab platform offers players the ability to bet with exciting features like Counter Offer and Bet Builder. Nonetheless, there are a few areas I would like to see some changes. The overall basketball offering is mediocre. It is bizarre that horse or greyhound racing is not an option, especially since it targets the UK market. Finally, I would like to see the mobile app becoming available in other countries besides Poland. At the moment, STSBet might not be at the level of William Hill or Bet365, but it certainly deserves a chance.
