The Transition Period Before the Big Move
Of course, Philip Bowcock is going to provide his assistance to the company in this transitional period. As the announcement continued, this move was planned and a part of the company’s strategic aim of being “a digitally-led and internationally diverse gambling company.”. Mr Roger Devlin, who is the Chairman of William Hill plc, spoke highly of Bowcock’s contribution to the brand for the last four years and the fact that the latter created a great team which helped the brand be in a great shape of business.
Regarding Bengtsson’s appointment, he said that the Board is more than happy to have him in that role, thanks to the great work the experienced executive has done for the Group’s digital operations for 18 months. Overall, the board believes in Bengtsson’s capabilities and is regarded as the most suited person to lead the company for the next phase of growth.
