Pokerstars were granted license in Portugal

pokerstarsportugal The Portuguese, as well as many other European gambling markets, have been regulated and everything on the gambling stage will be on a new level and terms. The new licenses have begun to be granted and Pokerstars are the first ones to receive one about casino and poker. That means that from now on they will be able to operate their website in the Portuguese market. The news where also confirmed by Portugal’s national regulatory body “Serviços de Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos (SRIJ)”. The license was awarded at REEL Europe Ltd, which is a division of Amaya and this will be the company that will operate the Pokerstars website in Portugal.

Although the license has benn granted at REEL Europe Ltd, the new website is not ready yet. Its development will be completed soon, as it was stated by the people who are in charge of the project. Because of the Portuguese law will provide limited betting services, meaning that PokerStars will be able to offer other poker tournaments and casino games, such as blackjack and roulette. But some other tournaments and games that require cash participation will not be available yet.
