Since the province of Buenos Aires decided to implement a legislative framework that would regulate the online gambling industry in Argentina, international sports betting companies are entering the local market trying to gradually expand their operations to the rest of South America. Bet365 and Betway are among those companies as they have both recently partnered up with local operators in order to begin their expansion plan.
Bet365 has teamed up with Pasteko, which is a local bingo operator in Buenos Aires, while at the same time Betway decided to join forces with Bingo King. It is worth noting that the province of Buenos Aires is about to issue seven online gambling licenses in total. Most of them are being intended for joint ventures consisting of local and international operators. At the moment, only the province of Buenos Aires has officially legalized online gambling and if everything goes as planned, then the same will happen in other provinces too.
Apart from Bet365 and Betway, some other international operators are determined to get one of the local licenses too. William Hill, for instance, is partnering up with ArgenBingo, while The Stars Group (PokerStars’ parent company) is teaming up with Atlantica de Juegos. Intralot has also joined the competition as it decided to join forces with BinBaires, while Playtech is determined that its collaboration with Hotel Casino Tandil will help it reach its ultimate goal.
