One of the most iconic events in horse racing, the Qatar Goodwood Festival came in agreement with Unibet, which will be the official sponsor for the event. As it was announced, the sponsorship will last 3 years and both parties are extremely enthusiastic about it. The partnership allows Unibet to retain lots of exclusivities with regards to the Stewards’ Cup, Nursery Stakes and Golden Mile. It also allows the operator to host an exclusive live presentation of the Stewards’ Cup draw along with the brand awareness, both on-the-track and outside of it, that the partnership will offer them, also thanks to the unique content that they will be able to put out.
The General Manager of Goodwood Racecourse Alex Eade, in an official statement to the media, stated how great and mutually beneficial this collaboration will prove to be, along with the long-term aspect of it. As a result of all the above, both the Stewards’ Cup and the Golden Mile will have Unibet’s name before them. Both of them will also be accompanied by a prize, which in the case of the first will reach £250,000, while for the Golden Mile it will be £150,000.
Head of racing communications at Kindred Group David Nicholson also expressed great enthusiasm for joining forces with such a legendary flat racing event as Goodwood that features some of the biggest names in horseracing.
