Bwin enters the Russian market

bwin in Russia_2One of the most famous online bookmakers all over the world, Bwin, makes another great step by entering the Russian market.

Bwin has announced its new website for Russia, Bwin.ru. Very soon, it will start to accept bets from Russian players.

Bwin.ru has been created by the Bwin’s cooperation with Alexander Mamut, who owns Digital Betting LLC and Rambler & Co. The first one is a licensed bookmaker and the second one is an online media company which currently operates many websites in Russia.

According to the both sides partnership, Bwin will provide its technological infrastructure and its brand name, while Digital Betting LLC will give to this huge project €33.6m for the next three years (€11.2m per year).

It has to be mentioned that Digital Betting LLC has a Russian betting license since March 2016. The company is also a member of the Self Regulatory Organisation of Russian Bookmaker.

Bwin becomes the 15th online bookmaker in the Russian market. The other 14 are: Liga Stavok, 1xBet, Winline,Tennisi, Betcity, 888 (not the UK operator), Fonbet, Olympus, Baltbet, Leon, BingoBoom, PariMatch, Marathon and Zenit.

This endeavor is really important for Bwin, since it becomes the first international bookie, who manages to establish itself in one of the most challenging and competitive markets in the world.
