Who is going to be the next Birmingham manager? That seems like a usual betting market, unfortunately this was not the case for Paddy Power. The Irish bookie made a macabre mistake, as they offered Ugo Ehiogou as a possible manager to take over at Birmingham City.
Former player for Aston Villa and England tragically passed away from a cardiac arrest on April 20 this year.
The officials at Paddy Power removed the market after a few minutes but as we all know, nothing stays hidden from social media nowadays. It took only a couple of minutes before it was known to millions of users.

Paddy Power quickly issued a statement apologizing for the error saying: “This was a genuine error, a trader re-used an old market as a template for this one, and didn’t notice that Mr Ehiogu was included. Obviously, that was a mistake, one which was rectified as soon as it was spotted, within minutes”.
