Ladbrokes and Coral are rightfully considered two of the most influential bookmakers in the UK as they are always keen to invest on British football. Two new deals have been announced by the Ladbrokes Coral Group which will continue the betting partnership with Sunderland AFC. Although the "black cats" were relegated from the Premier League, Coral will provide to the "Stadium of Light" match day betting service in every Championship and FA Cup game for the 2017-18 season.
Commenting on the partnership, Coral PR Director Simon Clare, said: “We are thrilled at Coral to be establishing such a strong UK partnership with Sunderland AFC and we would like to wish everyone connected to the Club, especially all its passionate and dedicated supporters, the very best of luck for the season ahead."
Sunderland AFC’s head of communications, Louise Wanless added: “We warmly welcome Coral to the club ahead of the commencement of the new season. As a leading UK name in their field they will ensure that our supporters can access a premium in-stadium service for all their match day betting needs and we look forward to working alongside them.”
The sports betting giants added also one more team on their Championship partnerships. Sheffield United Football Club will be sponsored by Ladbrokes as the club's new official stadium betting partner. They will provide betting services at the "Bramall Lane stadium".
In a statement announcing the multi-year agreement, Ladbrokes Head of PR, Jessica Bridge said: “We are very excited at Ladbrokes to be forming this dynamic partnership with Sheffield United Football Club as they embark on their mission to be promoted to the Premier League. It promises to be an exciting season ahead for the club and we would like to wish the manager, the players and all the fans the very best of luck.”
Sheffield United FC Head of Commercial Paul Reeves added: “We are very much looking forward to working with Ladbrokes and giving the supporters access to a well-known high street betting partner who will work with the club to ensure that match day betting services are delivered with the supporter experience very much at the forefront of their offer.”
