iGaming law developments are racing in the United States of America as the state of Pennsylvania has passed a bill that aims to regulate online gaming and Daily Fantasy Sports.
Pennsylvania is following the example of other states like Illinois and New Jersey that have also recently tried to amend their iGaming bills, to include DFS and iGaming.
However, DFS operators have received the Bill with mixed feelings as the minimum age requirements (18 years instead of 21) are being countered with increased tax obligations (19% instead of 12%).
Although internet gambling in the USA remains far from being considered nation-wide legal, the recent legislation developments in the various states are starting to make waves. According to industry experts, increased pressure from DFS and iGaming sites, might force the lawmakers to consider implement further changes.
