Sportech is one of the most popular and well known racing technology and systems provider in Europe, but as it seems, it will have some big changes in the next 30 days. Updating the market, the London-listed company has confirmed that Roger Withers is set to retire as Chairman of the company and board on 24 May.
Chairman's Record with the Company
Mr Withers was a gambling expert, who has held directorship positions at Playtech Plc and Arena Racing and has also been in leading position in Sportech since 2011. As departing Chairman of Sportech, Withers announced that Richard McGuire, who is currently a Non-Executive Director, will be appointed as the new Chairman.
Regarding his departure from Sportech Withers commented a few days ago: «I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as Chairman of Sportech and am delighted to be leaving the Company in great shape. I would like to express my appreciation of the excellent job done by Ian Penrose in leading the transformation of the Group over the last few years. It has been a pleasure to work with him.».
