Draftkings entered the German market

28 Mar 2017

DraftkingsDraftkings seem to be on the up the latest few months and the US daily fantasy sports operator is ready to expand hugely on the European market. In fact they already have launched their service in Germany, following the «Control Skill Games license» they were granted from Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) just a few days, within March. Last year at about the same time, they launched their services in the United Kingdom as well, but as the Draftkings governance stated, the aim is for the operator to get in as many regulated markets as possible. Germany is the next and a very important step according to the company’s plans, since the German players are very keen on betting on US Sports.

Chief International Officer (CIO) Jeffery Haas, commented on Draftking’ expansion: «Germany is known for its passionate sports fans and we are pleased to welcome them to daily fantasy sports. Germans show a proclivity for American sports, particularly the NFL and NBA. Initial testing in Germany shows that our most popular sport has been the NBA, which is why we are opening our beta test to all German sports fans.».
