Dafabet is one of the most popular Asian bookmakers across the world, but their plans for expansions globally don’t stop with Asia and Europe. Their new try is their establishment in the African territory and for that reason they made their first play within the African market by opening a «hub office» in Nairobi Kenya. As the Dafabet governance stated, they see Kenya as the entry point to spread inside the African market. After all the betting sector is really mature in this territory due to the existence of the established competition.
The bookmaker’s African operations are being led by Louis Watts Retail and Regional Operations Director for Dafabet. Speaking to Kenyan media Watts commented on the new Dafabeet operation: «We are looking to expand throughout the African continent and it was important that our first initiative was to establish a major presence in Kenya, a market that is mature and respected due to its sport betting savvy and continues to be a growing sports betting market, thus giving us the stable base from which to grow».
